Links Concept takes on Torres in Hong Kong

Hong Kong wine merchant Links Concept has taken on Spain’s leading producer, Torres, as its exclusive distributor in Hong Kong.

Torres Mas La Plana Cabernet Sauvignon

The new partnership will see the arrival of Torres’ most prestigious red wine – Cabernet Sauvignon ‘Mas La Plana’ from Penedes – in the Hong Kong market starting from this month, along with other ranges of wines from Torres.

The Spanish family company is currently run by legendary winemaker Miguel Torres, who was given this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award by the Master of Wine Institute and the drinks business at Vinexpo in Bordeaux. The winery produces some of the most celebrated wines in the world and is known for its sustainability efforts internationally.

“The family-owned premium winery with quality estates in Spain, Chile and the US, will be a highly complementary addition to the existing Links Concept portfolio which already lists a prestigious selection of some of the finest family owned brands in the world, including Champagne Louis Roederer, Antinori, Louis Latour and Symington – and will take the number of Primum Familiae Vini (Leading Wine Families) represented to three,” said Pierre Legrandois, general manager of Links Concept, of the partnership.

The addition of Torres is expected to strengthen Links Concept’s credentials as a premium family-focused distributor for some of the most sought after wines in the world. The importer is the runner-up of our On-Trade Supplier of the Year Award in The Drinks Business Asian Awards 2017.

Mas la Plana’s latest 2012 vintage is available with Links Concept and sells for around HK$500.
