Wild Idol welcomes spring with sophisticated serves

Spring is a time for new growth and new listings, as Wild Idol’s naturally alcohol-free sparkling launches in high-profile venues. db looks at three of the partnerships leading the way.

Looking back 10 years, you might have expected alcohol-free drinks to focus their efforts in January. There was an enduring sense that, for most people, alcohol-free options were only for post-holidays abstinence.

That has been proven entirely wrong. Alcohol-free beverages are now perennial – whether cutting back or going entirely alcohol-free, consumers have come to expect high-quality options all year round.

For Wild Idol, it is a particularly strong moment. Lightness and elegance are its calling cards; thanks to its careful process, which borrows from traditional winemaking but never has to strip out flavour in dealcoholisation, it keeps the fresh fruit aromas of its single vintage grape harvest.

So, as drinkers embrace lighter evenings and excuses one drink turns into a few, naturally alcohol-free Wild Idol is a prime choice for mindful drinkers. Indeed, its premium partnerships this spring prove that luxury need not have an ABV.

The Landmark London

The iconic atrium at The Landmark, palm trees and all, is a year-round invitation to celebrate like it is summer. That is particularly true this year, with Wild Idol served at both the Winter Garden restaurant and the Champagne Bar.

Beneath the glass roof situated eight stories up and surrounded by lush greenery, both Wild Idol Sparkling Rosé and Sparkling White feature on the menus, alongside fine wines and vintage Champagne.

The collaboration also sees The Landmark serve two bespoke cocktails. The Rosé Royal riffs on spritz classics, with the naturally alcohol-free rosé sparkling accented with a floral rose and elderflower cordial and zesty pink grapefruit soda.

The Shirley Temple Mimosa, meanwhile, tops Wild Idol’s white sparkling with a refreshing mix of orange juice, grenadine and ginger ale. The Wild Idol selection ensures that, whether seeking a refined sparkling for spring or sharing a round of cocktails, there is always a suitably five star serve ready.

Fenix

Much-lauded modern Greek restaurant Fenix started life in Manchester, before expanding to a Mayfair location this year. A Dubai location is also in the works.

Its hallmark is design-led luxury, with a palate of stony neutrals, soft handcrafted accents and attention to detail at every step. The menu is similarly indulgent, reimagining Mediterranean classics with a modern twist.

It is little surprise, then, that the drinks list features Wild Idol. Curated by Will Meredith, formerly bar manager at globally renowned Lyaness, the menu encompasses aegean specialities and world-famous products.

Among those bottles, you can now find a luxurious alcohol-free sparkling option, with Wild Idol Sparkling Wine available at both locations. It is on the list by-the-glass, meaning that drinkers can enjoy it as a light aperitif, or choose it to pair with specific dishes.

Of course, there is also the option of buying a bottle, for those who want to share a premium sparkling without any risk of a hangover.

The Marbella Club

Beautiful atria and Greek-styled restaurants are perfect for spring, serving as a means of capturing the spirit of summer even if the weather does not cooperate. Sometimes, however, you want the real thing.

Wild Idol’s spring listings extend well beyond the UK, so those who escape to the sun can still enjoy a naturally alcohol-free sparkling serve.

Among Wild Idol’s key listings is the Marbella Club. The exclusive resort mixes authentic Andalusian charm and access to beautiful Mediterranean beaches with all the luxuries you could want.

In keeping with that ethos, the club is launching a Wild Idol ‘Beach Spritz’ for the first time. Featuring Wild Idol’s carefully crafted naturally alcohol-free in a cocktail serve, it allows guests to sip from sunrise to sunset (and indeed beyond) without worrying about the alcohol content.
