Spanish gin Larios to launch in UK

Spanish gin brand Larios, owned by Beam Suntory, will makes its official UK debut this summer, with Catalyst Brands fronting a £500,000 marketing campaign.

Larios will be available in the UK through Catalyst Brands

Beam Suntory switched its distribution from Maxxium UK, which had previously not been distributing Larios gin in the UK, to Catalyst Brands earlier this year.

Now, the brand’s complete range will be available through Catalyst Brands, which has signed an exclusive agency agreement with the brand.

The campaign will includes in-bar branded experiences, festival sponsorship and pop-up street festival events with a “Spanish twist” as part of a targeted campaign that will include key city locations and Spanish-focused outlets.

The Larios range includes Larios Dry Gin, a 37.5% abv London Dry Gin made with Mediterranean orange and lemon botanicals; Larios 12, a 40% abv gin featuring twelve botanicals in a blend of five distillations, enhanced with orange blossom in the final distillation; and Larios Rosé, a 37.5% abv pink expression of Larios Mediterranean gin infused with strawberries.

The gin brand’s roots can be traced to 1866, however its was launched under its current name in 1932.

Larios Gin is available in the UK through Catalyst Brands, which supplies both the UK on- and off-trade.

Catalyst Brands is a trading division of Conviviality PLC and has handled brands for groups including Campari and Marie Brizard Wine & Spirits in the UK.
