#WeekInPictures: Pattinson pours 1664, Port cocktails and Bordeaux in London
From Robert Pattinson fronting a beer campaign to a Port cocktail triumph and a gathering of Bordeaux estates beside St Paul’s Cathedral, the week moved between marketing spectacle, trade tastings and plans for a charity ride honouring an industry colleague.
A winning Port cocktail at Da Terra

Damian Murgatroyd of The Blind Pig Speakeasy, St Helier, Jersey, won the British Isles leg of Graham’s Blend Series Cocktail Competition, judged at Da Terra. His Graham’s Kitchen Flip (Graham’s Blend No.12) was a liquid homage to the kitchen at Graham’s Port Lodge – built with chestnut butter-washed Douro brandy, caramelised apple cordial, and smoked chocolate bitters. A reworking of the classic flip, he called it “an old school drink, from my old school bar, in homage to an old school region”.
Bordeaux estates gather in London

The Grand Cercle des Vins de Bordeaux held its annual en primeur tasting in London, the first under its new president, Philippe de Poyferré.
Hosted at Sabine Rooftop beside St Paul’s Cathedral, the event brought together estates from across the region, presenting wines that reflected the breadth of Bordeaux terroirs and styles.
A ride in memory of John Osborne

Drinks and hospitality professionals are preparing to take part in a charity ride from London to Brighton on 1 October 2026 in memory of industry colleague John Osborne.
The event, organised by Georgina Haughton of Sainsbury’s and Alyce Smith of Off-Piste Wines, will raise funds for The Drinks Trust, a charity Osborne supported throughout his career.
Cyclists will travel the 60-mile route with vineyard stops along the way before finishing at Brighton’s Amex Stadium, home of Osborne’s beloved football club. Participants of all cycling abilities are invited to take part, with fundraising supporting the charity’s work across the drinks and hospitality sector.

Central to the initiative is a limited edition collector’s pack containing bottles and cans representing each tournament from Mexico 1986 through to the 2026 competition in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The campaign also includes a global film titled The Big Drop, alongside digital content revisiting notable moments from past tournaments.
Robert Pattinson fronts 1664 campaign

Actor Robert Pattinson has appeared in a new campaign promoting the 1664 lager brand.
The campaign centres on a short Paris-set film directed by Brady Corbet, in which Pattinson plays several characters, each convinced they represent the pinnacle of good taste.
According to the brand owner Carlsberg, the initiative is designed to explore the idea that taste remains subjective and shaped by culture and personal expression.
