Noble Rot partners with The Wine Society
Noble Rot Mayfair has opened a new cellar private dining room with a special collection from The Wine Society to welcome the occasion.
The collection includes rare, mature bottles from the wine bar’s cellars, and is accompanied by a menu devised by head chef Adam Wood and executive chef Stephen Harris of Michelin-starred restaurant The Sportsman.
The twelve-person capacity room with two connected vaults full of venerable bottles will offer a la carte options alongside a feasting dish of Whole Roast Suckling Pig served with Champagne Choucroute.
Aside from The Wine Society Reserve collection, which is only available at Noble Rot’s Mayfair location, the wine bar’s cellars range from its popular Vinho Verde ‘Chin Chin’ through to a number of sub-£40 finds, to rare vintages including Château Latour and Domaine de la Romanée-Conti.
Noble Rot co-founder Dan Keeling said of the cellar: “Becoming a member of The Wine Society has been a rite of passage for generations of drinkers getting interested in fine wine. Having sold many of the world’s greatest domaines their cellars hold untold treasures, all with impeccable provenance having laid unmoved in perfect conditions since the day that they arrived.
“This is your chance to drink them with our famous benevolent margins and Noble Rot Mayfair’s perfect food and service.”
Wine Society Director of Wine Pierre Mansour says: “We are thrilled to be working together with Noble Rot. This venture marks the first time The Wine Society wines will be available in a restaurant, providing a unique opportunity for Noble Rot’s diners.
“What Noble Rot and The Wine Society both share is wine expertise, and the joy of sharing seriously good bottles at all price points. We’re excited to open up our cellars to Noble Rot Mayfair.”
