Brad Pitt’s pink Champagne, Fleur de Miraval, to be served at the 95th Oscars
With awards season fully underway and Oscar buzz building, it has been announced that Brad Pitt’s rosé champagne brand, Fleur de Miraval will be poured at the Oscars for the second year in a row.
The pink Champagne took over from former pour Piper-Heidsieck for the first time last year, the first celebrity fizz to be served at the prestigious event. This years Ocars, the 95th Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science Award, takes place on Sunday 12 March at Hollywood’s famous Dolby Theatre.
It will be served during the awards ceremony, as well as at the official afterparty, the Governors Ball, as well as at other Oscars-related events in Los Angeles, New York City, and London.
The Champagne brand is a collaboration between actor and film producer Pitt, who owns Château Miraval in Provence; and two winemaking families – the Perrins, owners of Château de Beaucastel in the Rhône and Péters family, which has farmed in Champagne for six generations. It was released in October 2020, and billed as the only Champagne house exclusively devoted to rosé. The inaugural release was the culmination of five years of work, research and tasting, winemaker Rodolphe Péters said at the time, comprising just 20,000 bottles made from a blend of 75% Chardonnay from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and 25% Pinot Noir, which was aged for three years on the lees, and housed in a lacquered bottle to prevent light strike.
