The week in pictures
This week in the world of drinks; Douglas Blyde visits Soho’s outpost of the Dutch-owned, MSC-certified, The Seafood Bar, Bottega Gold is the toast of a new Urban-Air Port venture, and X Muse Vodka sets tongues wagging at Venice Biennale.
Douglas Blyde visited Soho’s outpost of the Dutch-owned, MSC-certified, The Seafood Bar, on Wednesday to celebrate King’s Day. Traditionally in the Netherlands, this holiday marks the birthday of King Willem Alexander. Fishmonger turned restaurateur, Fons de Visscher, poured three instalments of juniper to the fore, Dutch genever with impeccable seafood, including an oak-aged version poured straight into the shell of a plump Gillaredau oyster…
Bottega Gold was the toast of the opening of Urban-Air Port’s first vetiport in Coventry, England, a small vertiport for air taxis and delivery drones.
On the occasion of the inauguration on April 27th, Bottega Gold, the Prosecco Doc characterised by its golden livery bottle, was served. The cartons of wine arrived just before the event from the sky with specially equipped drones.
And X Muse Vodka hosted the Venice Biennale’s most popular bar during preview week with a series of arts and alchemy-inspired cocktails.
