Zonin releases pink Prosecco and raises a glass to 200 years
Zonin has introduced buyers in Cannes to its new Prosecco rosé while heralding the wine company’s 200 year anniversary.
Speaking to db at the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference, Zonin export department coordinator Maura Marciante said: “This is the first time our Prosecco Rosé has been at this show and, soon, it will go out globally and not just in travel retail.”
Marciante lamented that there were reduced numbers of Asian buyers at the show because of restrictions linked to the pandemic, but said the wine company had been intent on celebrating its 200 year anniversary regardless of how many visitors stopped by the stand.
“It is a shame there are not more buyers from Asia here, but the nice thing about now is that, last week, we celebrated our 200 year anniversary. Zonin was founded in 1821, so this is really important for us all and we had a big party anyway,” she revealed.
Marciante highlighted that the industry seemed united in the return to Cannes for everyone else and that she was enjoying seeing people reintegrate and network again.“
We really hope that we get the best from the fair and we are so happy to be back and we hope everything returns to normal soon,” she said.
