The talk line-up for Wine Paris 2020, which is due to take place alongside Vinexpo Paris at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles on 10-12 February, has been revealed.
One of the talks at Wine Paris will focus on the concept of flavour in food and wine
Over 2,200 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors are expected to attend Wine Paris, which shines a light on both international wines and those from France’s key wine regions.
This year the show is putting on a series of wine talks exploring different themes. On 10 February there will be a talk on the topic of flavour, which will explore the idea of flavour as a conduit for emotions and the multi-faceted connections between wine and food.
The discussion on 11 February will explore the wine industry’s commitment to organic viticulture and sustainability, looking at the latest trends in the growing green movement influencing both the production and distribution of wine.
The aim of the talk is to gain a better understanding of the relevance of existing and new organic certifications for producers and consumers.
On the final day of the show, 12 February, there will be a talk on the impact of innovation on wine sales and how it can be used as a tool to engage with influencers and wine buyers, making the consumer wine buying experience more rewarding.
Wine Paris is the result of a merger between two key wine fairs – Vinisud and Vinovision Paris The first event was held last February at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles and was attended by 2,000 exhibitors and 26,700 trade members, including 30% from outside France.
