London Restaurant Festival celebrates 11th year

This October, the London Restaurant Festival will return for its 11th year, offering a variety of culinary events and chef-hosted dinners throughout the capital.

Launched in partnership with American Express, the London Restaurant Festival 2019 will see renowned chefs from around the world cook in the capital, welcoming 50,000 people into over 400 restaurants throughout the month.

A new addition to the festival, One Night Only will see Prin, former chef at Michelin-starred restaurant Nahm in Bangkok, cook a ‘High Flyers’ dinner at the top of the Gherkin on the 21 October, in collaboration with London Thai restaurants som saa and Farang.

Offering a six-course Spanish menu, Brindisa and Estrella Galicia will host ‘London’s Longest Lunch’. Beginning in Brindisa London Bridge, diners will then be escorted down the Thames via Clipper to Battersea Power Station to enjoy the second half of their lunch at Brindisa Battersea.

The newly opened Robin Gill restaurant, Darby’s in Embassy Gardens, will host an evening with a celebrated culinary author, while Top Ten cuisines will return with a line-up including Anne Sophie Pic, Andrew Wong, Richard Corrigan, Chef Moshiko Gamlieli from Jerusalem, Mark Hix, Theo Randall and Nieves Barragán Mohacho.

The festival’s Ultimate Gastronomic Weekends will offer guests the opportunity to stay at top London hotels Hyatt Regency London, The Churchill and Andaz London Liverpool Street with each hotel hosting a variety of chef-led events and dining experiences including lunches hosted by Michel Roux Jr and Monica Galetti.

An LRF staple, Restaurant-Hopping Tours will see diners discover some of London’s most exciting neighbourhoods for culinary experiences, with the opportunity to enjoy a course meal at five restaurants within an area accompanied by drinks from producers such as Rémy Martin, Martin Miller’s Gin and Estrella Galicia.

The festival’s Tasting Menus will see regulars including Palomar and Barrafina alongside newcomers Kin + Deum, Wild Honey and Jack Stein in Barnes.

Joining forces with OpenTable, LRF will select 250 of London’s top restaurants to offer guests unique dining experiences throughout October.
