Vagabond to launch sixth site in Paddington

Vagabond is set to open its sixth site on the Union Canal in Paddington Central this June, becoming the first wine bar to open at the new development in west London.

Offering 100 wines by the glass via the bar’s bespoke Enomatic wine dispenser machines, guests will have the opportunity to explore a bi-weekly evolving choice of “independent and classic wines” from across the globe.

In keeping with Vagabond’s other sites, a wine top-up card will give guests the freedom to explore and sample wine with a knowledgeable team of advisors on-hand for guidance.

Take-away prices will also be available for those wishing to enjoy a bottle of wine at home.

In addition to their seasonal lunch and dinner menus, Vagabond in Paddington will be launching the concept’s first ever breakfast menu.

Founder and managing director, Stephen Finch, said: “We are super psyched to be coming to Paddington Central.

“With a compelling density of office workers and residents in the immediate area, set against the lovely Grand Union Canal and adjacent to several major transportation links, we have no doubt Vagabond will smash it right off the bat. We looked at several opportunities around London for our next Vagabond site and coming to Paddington Central was a no brainer.”

Pioneering their in-house urban winery and kitchen to produce critically and commercially successful English wines locally in Battersea Power Station as well as collaborating in winemaking projects internationally, Vagabond aims to bring the best of winemaking first-hand to guests in London.

With the majority of wines imported directly from producers, Vagabond was founded in 2010 by Stephen Finch. Backed by leisure and hospitality investors Imbiba, Vagabond’s sixth venue is set to be followed by a seventh in September.

Vagabond at Paddington Central opens in June.
