The Wine & Spirits Show 2019: in pictures

A whopping 1,550 wine and spirits enthusiasts flocked to the Royal Horseguards Hotel in London last weekend for the second Wine & Spirits Show.

Some 300 trade guests descended on our event on Friday 12 April, where we showcased a wide range of wine, spirits and beer brands.

In the Wine Hall, visitors were treated to an assortment of wine brands from around the world – including Champagne house Piper Heidsieck, and The Apprentice star Jackie Fast’s Canadian Icewine, Rebel Pi.

Fast told the drinks business that she’s been extremely busy since debuting her brand at our first Wine & Spirits Show in October last year.

“We’ve got so many listings now, and we’re being used in the cocktail menu at the Rosewood hotel. It’s been crazy!”

As well as the main halls, One Whitehall Place became a hub of alcoholic education over the course of the two-day event, with masterclasses ranging from how to use Coravin’s latest range of high-tech closures, to a deep dive into the latest trends in craft beer.

There was also a Champagne tasting from Pol Roger, as well as a Piper-Heidsieck masterclass with brand ambassador Simon Stockton.

Meanwhile, the Spirits Hall showcased a selection of international brands, including De Kuyper’s new Muyu liqueurs range, The Glenturret, Weedka Amsterdam Vodka and Laplandia Vodka.

For guests needing a breather between tastings, we set up our own dedicated Gin & Tonic Bar where visitors were able to sip a complementary G&T made from a choice of leading gin brands….
