‘Educational’ pop-up rosé wine mansion to open in New York

A pop-up rosé mansion, which plans to educate visitors about “the history, science and economics” of rosé, is due to open in New York next month, complete with a blending workshop, gold chandelier swing and pink wine bar.

The 14-room, two-story building dedicated to rosé promises to be an educational experience as well as a haven for Instagrammers.

As part of the immersive experience, it promises to explain “the scientific process behind creating [rosé] and the regions where it’s most popularly produced”.

Included in the US$45 ($35 for happy hour) entry fee, guests will receive eight samples of rosé, amounting to two full glasses of wine.

The brainchild of Morgan First and Tyler Balliet, the former owners of wine event company Second Glass, the mansion will also include a pool filled with roses, a bar filled with pink sand and a gold chandelier swing.

It is also home to a blending lab where mansion-goers can create their own rosé blends.

At the end of the experience, visitors can buy further drinks at the rosé wine bar which claims to have the “largest selection of rosé wine in the US”.

The pop-up will open on 12 July through to 7 October and will be located at 445 5th Ave at the corner of 5th Ave and 39th. Tickets can be purchased online.
