Hart Davis Hart announces three-day sale

US auction house Hart Davis Hart has announced details of a “massive” three-day fine wine sale to be held this December.

The sale, to be held from 15-17 December, will be the house’s last auction of the year and features over 4,000 lots with an estimated value of US$6.3–$9.4 million.

Bordeaux and Burgundy will be particularly well represented. There will be nearly 800 lots of claret from 85 of the region’s top châteaux with vintages dating back to 1934.

The Burgundy consignments are expected to realise up to $3.2m, with 105 lots of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, 65 of Armand Rousseau, 59 lots of Georges Roumier and 55 lots of Domaine Leflaive on offer.

Several lots of Henri Jayer will also be offered including three bottles of the rare 1985 Cros Parantoux ($20,000–$30,000).

There will also be a “comprehensive” offering of fine Champagne, including Dom Pérignon direct from the cellar, California Cabernet from the likes of Heitz, Harlan and Screaming Eagle and “deep selections” of Italian and Rhône wines.
