Wines from South Africa have seen a substantial increase in volume of imports since 2010 and is one the fastest growing markets for Hong Kong’s consumers, who are drawn to its reasonably priced red wines which typically fall between HK$100 and HK$200 in retail.

Annual events such as the Wines of South Africa’s Discover South African Wines festival in partnerships with retailers and importers has also contributed to South Africa’s popularity.
