Why Mayfair’s BiBi Lates is worth staying out for
London restaurant BiBi has introduced a new late-night format, BiBi Lates, giving guests the chance to experience signature dishes alongside an expanded cocktail offering after dinner service.

Award-winning London restaurant BiBi has launched BiBi Lates, a new evening concept designed to extend service beyond its regular dinner offering.
Available from 9pm onwards, the new format pairs an extended cocktail list with an à la carte menu featuring a selection of dishes from the restaurant’s tasting menu.
Signature dishes served after dark

Guests visiting BiBi Lates can order dishes including Mangalori Scallops and Launceston Lamb Barra Kebab, offering a more flexible way to experience chef Chet Sharma’s cooking without committing to the full tasting menu.
The restaurant said the new format is designed to allow diners to enjoy BiBi’s atmosphere later into the evening while sampling a curated selection of its signature dishes.

BiBi takes its name from the South Asian word that formally means “lady of the house”, although Sharma has adopted its colloquial Urdu meaning of “grandma” as a tribute to his two grandmothers, whose influence is woven throughout the restaurant.
Research-led approach
Opened in September 2021, BiBi’s menus are underpinned by years of research into ingredients, with an emphasis on traceability and ethics. The restaurant sources dayboat-landed fish from British waters, hand-dived scallops from Devon, buffalo milk from Lancashire and cheese from Somerset, while using heritage rice varieties and single-source spices from the Indian subcontinent.
The kitchen also follows sustainability and zero-waste practices, including composting, recycling, fermentation, preservation and maximising the use of individual ingredients.
Alongside its food offering, BiBi serves a wine list designed to complement the menus, as well as reinvented classic cocktails, non-alcoholic juices and cold-brewed teas. The sommelier team, led by Wilem Powell, offers two wine pairings inspired by Sharma’s grandfathers.
Since opening, the Mayfair restaurant has received a number of industry accolades, including Best Cocktail List of the Year at the National Restaurant Awards 2025.
