Casillero del Diablo has appointed British actor Orlando Bloom as its new global ambassador. The Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean star fronts the brand’s new Wine Legend campaign, bringing the story of the Devil’s Cellar to life ahead of its global launch in September.

PIWOSA’s Return of Wino lands in Soho

“The Return of Wino” brought PIWOSA to Quo Vadis, where Karl Marx began “Das Kapital”. Highlights included Gary and Kathy Jordan’s debut Tidebrook Staddle Stone Chardonnay ’23, raised in barrels formerly used for their Nine Yards Chardonnay, an apt bridge between Stellenbosch and Sussex during English Wine Week, alongside Jordan Assyrtiko from South Africa’s first Assyrtiko mother block. Springfield Estate’s Méthode Ancienne Chardonnay 2012 remained abrim with vim; Avondale Qvevri GSM 2024 came from South Africa’s pioneering buried Georgian vessels; while Bruwer Vintners Liberté 2023 recast Pinotage as fragrant, fresh and almost glou-glou. A splendid return.
