Muse by Tom Aikens launches summer wine nights
Intimate London restaurant Muse by Tom Aikens is launching a weekly series of wine events throughout the summer, pairing the Norfolk-born chef’s food with wines from around the world.

Tuesday Wine Nights begins at the 23-cover venue – a converted mews in Belgravia – with a one-off launch event on 1 July (a Wednesday, ironically) which is a collaboration between Aikens, Muse head sommelier Elisa Marchini and four female winemakers.
The weekly series begins in earnest on Tuesday, 14 July with an event devoted to France’s Languedoc region, and continues throughout the summer, apart from a short break during August.
Billed as “an intimate evening of food, wine and conversation”, the launch event will see the quartet of winemakers sitting alongside guests at the Muse counter, introducing the wines, discussing the food pairings and sharing the stories behind their creations.
The winemakers involved include:

- Corinne Seely: head winemaker at Exton Park in Hampshire, Seely gained experience at Domaine de Chevalier in Pessac-Léognan, Bordeaux, before working as a consultant winemaker around the world, including stints in Australia, the Languedoc and the Douro Valley. She joined Exton Park in 2011, and will pair the producer’s English sparkling wines with the evening’s snacks.
- Paola Sordo: born in 1999 in Castiglione Falletto, Barolo, Sordo represents the fourth generation of the family, which has been making wine in the region since 1912. She studied at Alba Enological School and now promotes the Sordo wines globally while working with the technical team. The Sordo wines will be paired with the ricotta and turbut dishes.
- Adrianna Catena: co-founder of El Enemigo in Mendoza and a member of the fourth generation of the Catena winemaking dynasty. Adrianna Catena is a winemaker and historian, holding a Masters and a PhD from Oxford University, and her wines will be paired with the sea bream and snail.
- Carine Sérol: with her husband Stéphane, Carine Sérol has helped transform Domaine Sérol into a standard bearer for the Côte Roannaise sub-region of the Loire Valley, converting to organic and biodynamic viticulture and focusing on a mosaic of high-altitude vineyard parcels. The Sérol wines will accompany the pigeon course and the dessert.
Muse said the event was “a rare opportunity to meet the women behind the wines, hear their stories first-hand and gain insight into the vineyards, terroir and techniques that shape very bottle”.
Marchini said of the project: “Rooted in Muse’s love of wine and the joy of sharing it, our Tuesday Wine Nights are about celebrating that passion, and we’re very happy to launch the series with a truly unique opportunity: an evening with four highly respected female winemakers.
“Guests will have the chance to meet, taste and engage with these exceptional producers in a beautiful, intimate setting. From there, our weekly Tuesday series continues in the same spirit: a relaxed, welcoming space where great wine meets great conversation and everyone is encouraged to discover something new.”
The dinners will be priced at £195 per person, with the wine pairings available for £75 per person when booked in advance, or £90 per person on the day. A full list of wines is available on request.
