Ryan Seacrest sells Napa mansion for US$18.5 million
The American TV host, whose net worth is estimated to be about $500m, has sold his 16-hectare St Helena property to a mystery buyer after listing it two years ago.

Ryan Seacrest, who earned his fortune presenting TV shows including American Idol, Wheel of Fortune and American Top 40, has sold his Napa mansion to an unknown buyer for US$18 million.
First listed in July 2024 for $22m, the Tuscan-inspired property has five bedrooms, “six and a half bathrooms”, and approximately 10,750 square feet, encompassing a pool house and guest house.
However, one of the major draws for any wine fan is the high-tech contemporary wine cellar Seacrest added to the house when he bought the property in 2020 for $14m.
“Obsessed” with wine
Seacrest, who has confessed to being “obsessed” with wine, had the temperature-controlled wine cellar installed in the just-sold property when he first moved in, and he also added a wine tasting bar for good measure. It is unknown whether the contents of the cellar were included in the sale, but the bottles are “primarily California Cab and Left and Right Bank Bordeaux,” he told Wine Spectator.
Seacrest has also revealed his passion for pink Champagne and white Burgundy.
“I love rosé Champagne. I like very dry white wines—any of the drier whites that come from the Napa Valley and white Burgundies,” he said. “I love the Colgin wines; I think those are some of the best in the Napa Valley. I drink the Napa Valley Reserve. One of my favourite Bordeaux is La Mission Haut-Brion; it’s a great value for a fantastic wine. And I love Tequila—my Tequila of choice is Casa Dragones.”
Speaking on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Seacrest’s former girlfriend Julianne Hough explained that the TV host had introduced her to wine while they were together. Hough explained that she told Seacrest: “You ruined my life because I can’t go to a friend’s house and drink cheap wine anymore.”

Napa mansion: end of an era
The host of drivetime radio show On Air With Ryan Seacrest has been trying to sell the Napa property for two years, during which time he has had to drop the asking price by $3.5 million.
Had it not been for Seacrest’s celebrity status, the property may have stayed on the market for much longer, with Beauchamp Estates’ ‘Homes of the Rich and Famous’ survey revealing in 2025 that homes previously owned by celebrities sell in half the time of other properties.
A property owned, or previously owned, by a famous A-list celebrity typically took just four to six months to sell, compared to 12 to 14 months for a standard listing between 2023 and 2025, according to the survey.
“What first drew me to the property was its incredible location,” Seacrest told Mansion Global last year. “It offers the best of both worlds, with easy access to everything in St. Helena while still feeling private and like a true escape. The views are absolutely stunning.”
In addition to the features mentioned above, the estate also features an outside courtyard “perfect for dining”, an infinity-edge pool and hot tub, a bocce court and an Italian olive grove with 220 trees, and impressive views of the area’s rolling vineyards, valley floor and mountains.
“My favourite space in the home is the enclosed porch just off the living room,” Seacrest said. “It’s such a peaceful spot, and the views out over the valley floor are unforgettable. You can even see the hot air balloons drifting by in the distance. It’s the kind of place where you naturally want to slow down and take it all in.”
He currently resides in a 1920s-built Bel-Air mansion he bought for $36m and which was previously owned by fashion tycoon Serge Azria.
