Siren Craft Brew’s Tap Yard aims to be home to the UK’s best pizza
Siren’s Tap Yard in Finchampstead will soon be the permanent home of Fornoza, serving pizzas to customers from 16 June. db learns how the new partnership will make the venue a must-visit destination.

Fornoza co-owners Pavandeep Chadda and Joshua Wilson now have a permanent base at Siren Tap Yard in Finchampstead. But they also have designs on making the beer lovers space “the best” destination for good food.
‘Want to create the UK’s best’
Revealing more about the partnership, Chadda said: “We want to create the UK’s best pizza, and a permanent base at Siren’s Tap Yard gives us a great chance of doing that.”
Chadda explained: “In just two years, we’ve gone from borrowed tables and other people’s recipes to our own tried and tested products we’re proud to call our own – 72-hour cold fermented sourdough, authentic Italian ingredients and seasonal specials have all been part of Fornoza’s growing reputation. We’re making great pizza right now – we’re working fairs, festivals and weddings” but admitted that “having access to Siren Craft Brew’s reputation, marketing skill and brand expertise, as well as a regular customer base” was part of the business’s growth plan and “the next step”.

Quality of ideas and ingredients
Speaking to the drinks business, Siren Craft Brew area manager Danny Wratten Sanchez said: “What I love about working with Pav and Josh is how openly they chase getting better. Every time I see them, they’re asking for honest feedback, on the crust, the toppings, the cook, and more so, acting on it. They’ve both been trained through successful pizza operators, and taken those lessons and channelled them into Fornoza, pairing quality ingredients with their own ideas. That mix of humility, graft, obsession, and quality is rare.”
Chadda explained: “Josh and I spent our university years working in pizzerias in London, Henley and Bristol. We’ve taken everything we’ve learned and put it into Fornoza. The money we earn goes back into building the business and reaching toward that goal of creating the UK’s best pizza.”
‘So impressed’
Siren Craft Brew head of marketing Andy Nowlan said: “This partnership will deliver on all fronts, improving the experience for our local community and neighbouring businesses any time they visit. We’ve been so impressed with Pav and Josh’s journey so far, their pizzas are a highlight at events, and the new focaccia sandwiches are not to be missed.”
Wratten Sanchez told db that “giving them a permanent home at the Tap Yard feels less like a partnership and more like backing two people who genuinely won’t stop until it’s the best”.
