Undurraga Wine Group makes management changes
Chile’s Undurraga Wine Group has appointed Adolfo Hurtado Cerda to be its new general manager in a move that marks the start of a new stage in the group’s strategic development.

In his new role, which Hurtado Cerda will assume from 27 April, the agronomist and oenologist from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile will bring with him broad knowledge and experience from his well-established career in both the national and international wine industry.
A wealth of experience and knowledge
Previously, Hurtado Cerda worked for more than 20 years at Viña Cono Sur and, more recently, served as CEO of Viña MontGras and Viña Errazuriz.
Speaking about his hire to the role, the board of directors emphasised that Hurtado Cerda’s experience and knowledge of the industry will be “essential” to continue driving the development of Undurraga Wine Group and to consolidate its positioning in key markets.

Hurtado Cerda will be taking over from Andrés Izquierdo who is stepping down from the general management role after having assumed the position in 2017. During his tenure, Izquierdo led the strengthening of the company’s portfolio, the development of its brands, and the expansion of its international presence.
The board of directors particularly acknowledged Izquierdo’s “outstanding work, commitment, and leadership” and also said that it “wishes him the greatest success in his new professional endeavours”.
A transformative time for the company
In line with the group’s organisational strengthening process, the business also recently reported at the start of the month that Sebastián Irarrázaval joined as chief financial and administrative officer, contributing his experience to further consolidate the group’s financial management.
Additionally, at the upcoming shareholders’ meeting on 29 April, David Cahn, Abel Bouchon, and Cristóbal Yuraszeck will also be set to join the board of directors, contributing their experience and vision to the company’s future development.
