Champagne Castelnau takes inspiration from cycling for NV bottles

Champagne Castelnau has launched a 2018 special edition cycling-inspired design for its Brut Réserve NV and Brut Réserve Rosé NV bottles.

The modern, bike tyre-track design was used to mark the brand’s continued, seven-year partnership with Tour de France organiser the Amaury Sport Organisation.

This is the seventh full bottle design in a collection.

The Special Edition cycling-inspired design bottles of Brut Réserve NV and Brut Réserve Rosé NV will retail for £35 and £38 respectively and in a twin gift pack for £85.

A spokesperson said the new design reflects “the audacious and adventurous personality of the Champagne Castelnau brand and the commitment of the winemaking team.

“We are delighted to add the 2018 Special Edition design to the collection – a great gift or collectors’ item for fans of the sport and Champagne.”

The launch comes on the back of news that Champagne Castelnau has acquired an historic property in Reims which it intends to turn into a new visitor and events centre due to open in 2020.

Villa Tassigny is a 19th century property close to the centre of Reims that was previously owned by the French Air Force and used for entertaining by the local air base commander.
