Californian-based fine wine retailer Westgarth Wines has appointed a new director of sales to lead its European expansion, after opening a London branch.

It was founded in 2012 in Los Angeles.

Alexander Westgarth, CEO of Westgarth Wines, along with its sister company, WineCap, noted that the UK remained “the global heartbeat of the fine wine trade”.

“By launching Westgarth Wines in Europe and bringing a leader of Steve’s calibre on board, we want to redefine the private client experience,” he said.
