The Global Masters series by the drinks business is once again turning its attention to one of the world’s most celebrated red varieties with The Global Malbec Masters 2026.
From the dramatic slopes of Mendoza and Chile’s Maipo Valley to the historic châteaux of Cahors, this competition is designed to recognise the very best expressions of Malbec on the global stage.
Blends are welcome, offering producers the opportunity to showcase both pure and innovative interpretations of the grape.
All wines will be blind tasted by a panel made up exclusively of Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers and senior buyers. Medals will be awarded from Bronze to Gold, with Master reserved for the most exceptional entries. This highly respected judging panel ensures global recognition for all awarded wines.
