A chock-a-block itinerary of tastings, trade shows and on-trade activations in Asia’s drinks industry across April proved that business and pleasure can, indeed, be merged, as brands sought to expand their footprint in the region.

Seoul workshop highlights premium non-alcoholic momentum
Nimbility’s spirits and non-alc director Manuel Arce hosted an industry workshop at Seoul’s 448 Southside Bar, diving deep into the growing role of premium low and no products in Asia Pacific. Attendees from top local bars, including Pine & Co and Bar Cham, came together to discuss evolving consumer expectations, and a guided tasting of the alcohol-free NON wines further underlined the category’s climbing relevance in Korea’s on-trade. Guests concluded the Merchants International-backed event with a curated menu at wine bar, Sate.

Shanghai ‘Nimbilitivo’ showcases portfolio with Le Sommelier
Nimbility’s China team hosted a ‘Nimbilitivo’ tasting in Shanghai in partnership with importer Le Sommelier, which represents seven of its premium wine brands. Taking place at Sen Restaurant in Taikoo Hui, the event brought together around 60 guests from the F&B, retail, corporate and private luxury industries to explore a selection including Tenuta Meraviglia, Dievole, Altos Las Hormigas, Tinpot Hut, Maison Mirabeau, Cape Mentelle and Causse du Theron.

Wirra Wirra makes a mark in Asia
Australian producer Wirra Wirra was showcased across multiple markets in early April through a series of activations led by the Nimbility team. In China, chief winemaker Matt Deller presented to members of 67 Pall Mall, and also headed up events in Chaozhou and Guangzhou, complemented by live streaming sessions, in a programme designed to reinforce the estate’s positioning through interaction with trade and high-value consumers. In Seoul, Wirra Wirra was presented by Sarah Soo-Kyung Henriet during a dinner at Mondrian Seoul Itaewon, and in Phuket, Ian Ford hosted a wine dinner, further building a presence in Southeast Asia.

Metabev Hong Kong was on-site with Orion Beer, serving fans throughout the tournament and contributing to the lively atmosphere both pitch-side and in the stands.

Cincoro Tequila gets the party started in Hong Kong
Cincoro Tequila marked its official launch in Hong Kong and Macau with an event at upscale Hong Kong nightlife venue, The 33. In partnership with Eclipse Beverages, the event brought together trade, media and industry guests for a late-night celebration. The evening opened with a curated agave cocktail experience led by Jay Khan of COA Hong Kong, followed by an international DJ set that carried the event into the night. A limited release of Cincoro Jack Añejo bottles, created in collaboration with Travis Scott, was also showcased.
