Stock Spirits extends Limoncè with Sicilian lemon RTD spritz

Stock Spirits Group moves deeper into the aperitivo and RTD space with a new Limoncè spritz, reflecting shifting consumer demand for lighter, convenient serves.

The new Limoncè Spritz is a wine-based RTD designed to bring the Italian aperitivo ritual into a more convenient format. It marks the latest development for the brand following the debut of Limoncè Aperitivo in 2025.

Building on aperitivo momentum

According to the company, the launch builds on the success of Limoncè Aperitivo, which positioned itself as a lighter, citrus-led alternative to bitter aperitifs. The product has since won medals at several international spirits competitions and was most recently named Product of the Year in Italy in the aperitifs category.

Stock Spirits said the new RTD also responds to three key industry trends: the growing popularity of spritz and aperitivo culture beyond Italy, increasing demand for no and low alcohol options, and the continued expansion of the RTD segment.

At the core of the product is the use of 100% Femminello lemons, described as Sicily’s most historic citrus variety, known for their aromatic intensity and high juice content. The company highlighted a near-artisanal production process designed to preserve the natural flavour and aroma of the fruit, with no artificial additives used.

RTD format and rollout plans

Limoncè Spritz RTD is bottled at 8% ABV in 20cl glass bottles and sold in a three-pack format. It can be served over ice with a lemon slice or consumed straight from the bottle.

Anne Martin, CMO at Stock Spirits Group, said: “The aperitif occasion is one of the biggest growth opportunities in the industry right now, and the RTD format only accelerates it. At Stock Spirits, we are investing significantly behind Limoncè because we believe this is a brand and category with real headroom, and we intend to be a leading player in this space.”

Valentina Simonetta, Marketing Director Italy at Stock Spirits Group, added: “Aperitivo is a state of mind; a moment to pause, connect and genuinely enjoy. It’s about the people you’re with as much as what’s in your glass. With Limoncè Spritz, we wanted to capture that feeling: the vibrant colour, the warmth of the Sicilian sun and the freshness of the lemons.”

The brand will also return as an official sponsor of the Infiorata di Noto festival in Sicily for a second consecutive year, aiming to showcase its heritage through immersive experiences.

Stock Spirits said the product will roll out across selected European markets throughout 2026, supported by a multi-channel media campaign. Suggested retail prices will vary by market.
