Friuli Venezia Giulia opens registrations for Vinitaly 2026

Visitors to the Friuli Venezia Giulia area at Vinitaly can expect scores of producers and dedicated tasting zones, plus a chance to win a trip to the region.

The regional collective representing Friuli Venezia Giulia is readying for Vinitaly 2026, where it will present its local production at the world’s largest showcase for Italian wines. Taking place from 12–15 April in Verona, the trade show is hoping to surpass the 97,000 visitors that attended last year.

Friuli Venezia Giulia has booked a 1,500m2 stand in Hall 6, organised and managed by PromoTurismoFVG (a public body with a responsibility for promoting the region) in tandem with the Regional Agency for Rural Development (ERSA). This latter body has selected the wines and wineries present at the show.

To help visitors get the most from the stand, Friuli Venezia Giulia has now opened registrations for buyers and journalists to confirm their timeslot. This will help manage visitor flow and facilitate useful meetings.

Not only that, but attendees who pre-register on this link and then have their badge scanned at the stand’s infopoint will enter a Friuli Venezia Giulia prize draw.

The winner will receive a business trip to Friuli Venezia Giulia, offering a chance to discover the region’s diverse landscapes and innovative producers first-hand. For anyone with a serious interest in Friuli Venezia Giulia wines, it is an unmissable opportunity.

A full programme

With such a large footprint, the Friuli Venezia Giulia stand offers plenty for the inquisitive buyer. It has several distinct areas, designed to show the region’s breadth and ensure easy navigation for visitors.

This year’s stand has also been designed with a distinct focus on the sensory. Standing against a news cycle dominated by AI and machines, the area will bring together local materials and the best of regional craftsmanship in its overall design.

In addition to the infopoint – a crucial stop for general information about the region, as well as help from dedicated staff – the area has 80 individual stations. At each, the region’s wineries will present classic wines of the region.

These include, of course, local specialities such as Pinot Grigio and Ribolla Gialla. However, there will also be popular international varieties like Chardonnay or Cabernet Franc, as well as on-trend styles such as traditional method sparkling wine.

Other zones at the stand include a 25-seat tasting room for guided tasting sessions and a regional wine bar, offering a cross-section of producers and staffed by the Associazione Italiana Sommelier. There will also be a catered lounge for journalists and institutions.

Beyond Hall 6, Friuli Venezia Giulia is also exhibiting in the Organic Hall at Vinitaly 2026. There, seven producers (as well as a regional infopoint) will fly the flag for sustainable wines made in the region.

Dates for the diary

As Vinitaly approaches, there are several key dates to mark to make the most of Friuli Venezia Giulia’s presence.

The first two are current: registrations to attend Vinitaly are still open, and attendees should move quickly to book their slot to visit the Friuli Venezia Giulia stand.

However, buyers should also pay attention on 31 March. At two events for the press and producers respectively, the participating wineries for Vinitaly 2026 will be announced at the Friuli Venezia Giulia region’s office in Udine.

At the show itself, the Friuli Venezia Giulia area will be officially inaugurated at lunchtime on Sunday 12 April. Winemakers and officials will be joined by Massimiliano Fedriga (President of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region) and regional councillors Sergio Emidio Bini and Stefano Zannier.

Then, on Monday 13 April, visitors have the chance to relax after two days of meetings and tasting. The Friuli Venezia Giulia welcome event runs from 6–9pm bringing music, wine and regional foods, a reminder of the fair’s convivial spirits and consumer-friendly profile of Friuli Venezia Giulia wines.

Friuli Venezia Giulia is exhibiting at Wine Paris from 9–11 February in Hall 5.2, Stand C265. Attendees wishing to visit the stand should register in advance here.
