The Suffolk-based company, which owns St Peter’s Brewery, Curious Brew, Portobello Brewing, Wild Beer and Gipsy Hill, has always maintained that is retaining each brewery’s identity following each acquisition.

‘Driving growth’

Over the last four years Sunrise Beverages has focused on the acquisition of premium beer brands. Now, the company has revealed that by hiring Jerry Shedden it is providing a lead for its commercial future “with an aim of driving growth through an integrated portfolio sales perspective”.

Shedden brings with him almost 20 years of director-level experience in FMCG, as well as an in-depth knowledge of the drinks industry and hospitality sector from a background that includes roles at AB InBev, Bacardi, Heineken, Brewdog and Asahi.

‘A wealth of experience’

Sunrise Beverages chief commercial officer Cigdem Kurtulus said: “We are incredibly excited to welcome Jerry to Sunrise and feel honoured to have attracted someone with such a wealth of experience in the drinks sector. With the integration of our business complete and solid foundations now in place, we are building on our 2025 success to drive accelerated growth through offering customers a differentiated brand portfolio and exceptional service.”

Last year, Sunrise Beverages made a £100,000 investment into Ashford-based Curious Brewery to “enhance overall production capabilities and efficiencies”.
