SID 2025 addresses industry’s sustainability issues
The Sustainability in Drinks (SID) event returns for its second year on 21 October in London, addressing the challenges facing the drinks industry, with a high-level panel introduction by Jancis Robinson OBE MW.

SID 2025 will be hosted on 21 October at St Mary’s, Wyndham Place, in York Street, London. Created in 2024 by Judy Kendrick and Janet Harrison, SID is supported by key founding partners, including the Wines of Alentejo Sustainability Programme (WASP), French wine producer Maison Mirabeau, Encirc, a beverage filling firm, and Beyond Zero, an environmental asset management company.
Recognised with the Drinks Event of the Year award at The Drinks Business Awards 2025, the event unites over 40 sustainability experts from the drinks industry and beyond.
SID is back for its second year, featuring a new format that emphasises important issues within the industry. Attendees can look forward to exhibitors showcasing sustainable products, valuable advice and services, in-depth workshops, engaging SID talks, a high-level panel debate, and a keynote address. Speakers and facilitators will join from more than eight countries, including the US, Argentina, Chile, New Zealand, Australia, Portugal, France, and the Nordic countries.
The event will also include networking opportunities and a selection of sustainably produced wines.
The one-day event is aimed at professionals in the drinks industry, encompassing all areas of the supply chain. It welcomes buyers from both large and small retailers, importers, distributors, individuals in the hospitality sector, sustainability managers, and suppliers of packaging and logistics. As an international event, SID serves as a key resource for fostering sustainable change within the drinks industry, offering insights and lessons from other sectors, including the food industry.
The event features four designated exhibitor zones that will host in-depth workshops. These workshops will be facilitated by SID associates, including the International Wineries for Climate Action (IWCA), the Regenerative Viticulture Foundation (RVF), the Porto Protocol, and Drinks United.

Highlights
SID’s keynote address is sponsored by Carboncloud, whose CEO, David Bryngelsson, will join the main panel for one of the highlights of this year’s gathering: a high-level panel debate moderated by climate journalist Nick Breeze, and introduced by Jancis Robinson OBE MW.
Breeze commented on the importance of SID: “At last, we have an in-person event where the path to a sustainable drinks industry is the primary focus. The rapid changes in the climate system taking place in our lifetimes demand a collaborative, pragmatic approach, and the SID event brings together many experienced and influential voices. The value for me is in listening to people who are learning to articulate their achievements and communicate them in a way that is relevant to the broader societal conversation on sustainability.”
One of the SID talks will feature insights from Sweden’s Systembolaget, which advocates for positive environmental and climate impacts throughout its entire value chain.
Linda Johansson, sustainability manager of Systembolaget, said: “Sustainability in Drinks is an important forum to gain insights and have dialogue regarding our sustainability work. This year, we especially look forward to sharing and discussing our progress on product carbon footprint – a key step in reducing the climate impact of our products.”
More event highlights and the confirmed programme are available directly from the SID website.
Tickets for SID 2025 are now available for £50 (US$67) per person, which includes access to the exhibition, talks, and workshops. For additional access to the post-exhibition high-level panel, keynote address, and networking, tickets are available for £125 (US$169).
