Greene King launches prize draw for Macmillan Cancer Support

Pub company and brewing giant Greene King has launched a £10,000 prize draw in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support to mark the company’s 10 years of fundraising for the charity.

The charity draw will be run as a nationwide SMS campaign. All 1,600 managed pubs in the Greene King estate will be supporting the prize draw, with each site offering a unique SMS entry code for customers to take part. Customers and team members are invited to make a £3 donation to Macmillan Cancer Support to enter the draw, on top of the standard network rate message charge.

Greene King will also host individual fundraising events for Macmillan Cancer Support. Greene King’s CEO, Nick Mackenzie, said the company was proud to reach this milestone and he commended the phenomenal energy and creativity its teams had put into fundraising.

“Over the past decade, we’ve raised an astonishing £11 million in donations for Macmillan, and couldn’t have done this without the support of our generous customers and passionate team members who work hard to create fundraising activity,” he said.

“We’re hopeful that our first ever nationwide prize draw will provide another great fundraising initiative for Macmillan, and we look forward to announcing the lucky winners of the draw on 8 July.”
