Wines from Spain announces 2022 tastings in two major UK cities

The Wines from Spain tastings will be held in London and Glasgow, both in-person and digitally, during June 2022.

From Rías Baixas to Rioja, a series of events from Wines of Spain will offer a comprehensive tour of the varieties, styles and producers that have put the country on the winemaking map.

The tastings, due to be held in London and Glasgow as well as virtually via select digital offerings, will showcase the latest exciting releases from a country which has become one of the most celebrated in the wine world.

UK director for Foods and Wines from Spain, Fernando Muñoz, remarked that “we are immensely pleased to be hosting in-person tastings this year” but that he also “felt that it was important to allow those who are still unable to travel to have access to our tasting programme”.

The London Tasting will take place at Lindley Hall on 28 June 2022, and will include masterclasses, self-pour tastings, and the opportunity to sample a plethora of new releases and vintages. Leading exporters and importers will also be presenting their portfolios to trade and press visitors.

The Glasgow Tasting will feature some 200+ Spanish wines and will be held at the Royal College of Physicians on 20 June 2022 and will include a sit-down tasting with masterclasses from Rose Murray Brown MW and Miguel Crunia.

The digital tastings will also take place in June. More than 200 wines will be available for online ordering, with twelve-packs of samples dispatched for delivery at home or to the office in late June.
