TikTok hack claims to stop people tasting Tequila
A viral TikTok hack claims to take the taste out of Tequila, much to the fascination and bemusement of many who wonder why you’d do such a thing in the first place.
The internet has provided us with many wonderful things, and some of them are Tequila-based. If you want a widely-available cocktail recipe featuring Tequila, for example, there are any number of weird and wonderful creations out there for you to try.
However, a new TikTok trend is focussed more on taking the taste out of Tequila than enhancing it.
Yes, TikTok users are currently participating in a hack trend that purports to remove the taste of Tequila altogether.

While it’s undoubtedly an interesting trick if it does work, the question remains as to why anyone would drink Tequila if they didn’t like the flavour in the first place.
This was certainly the sentiment among many commenters.
“[Watching] the brainiacs of TikTok ‘invent’ a new way to minimize the taste of alcohol by adding baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), salt, and sparkling water. AKA: the literal ingredients of club soda.” One wrote.
“I drink tequila to taste the tequila…” Another commenter added.
