Of course, there’s no such thing as a free lunch, and Pabst Blue Ribbon do actually want you to plaster their advertising all over your home. But is that really enough to put you off?

Heck, it might even be part of the draw…

Yes, until September 24, PBR is giving away free branded merchandise through PBRInHomeAdvertising.com while stocks last.

Everything from shower curtains to toilet seats and duvet covers are included.

What’s more, the brand will subsequently pay you to post pictures of your home/DIY PBR billboard to social media.

“Each item has a corresponding monetary value, in which participants send them in and Pabst Blue Ribbon posts proof of installation, then you get paid to ‘run’ the ads inside the comfort of your home,” PBR said in a release. “Why? Because Pabst Blue Ribbon’s ads need a home and they’d rather pay you than a media fat cat.”

Nick Reely, PBR’s VP of marketing said of the move:

“One of the principles we operate under at PBR is subversion. Another principle is offering lighthearted and self-aware entertainment to our friends and audiences.”

A third principle isn’t really giving money away but that’s ok. We made an exception for this campaign.”

According to a spokesman, payouts range from $10 to $50 depending on the item, so you could end up pretty flush for your at-home branding efforts.

Meanwhile, Boston Beer Co is releasing a beer so strong it’s actually illegal in 15 states. You can read more here.
