Champagne Edouard Duval appoints Asia distributor

Champagne Edouard Duval has appointed Singapore-based company First Growth Asia as its distributor in Asia.

Following the successful introduction of Champagne Edouard Duval in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau markets with East Meets West Fine Wines, the appointment of FGA is hoped to “bring strong resources to develop further distribution partnerships in the very dynamic Asian market and long-term brand building objective”.

Based in Singapore since 1995, First Growth Asia has been working with premium family wineries, from the classic European appellations and New Worlds regions.

The company has a great reputation and track record in setting up complete agency distribution and sales network across Asia. It also supports importers in setting up exclusive agencies, brand building, education and promotion.

Edouard Duval, the eponymous Champagne winery owner and also the CEO of fine wine importer and distributor EMW Fine Wines, commented, “I have known and worked with Jannik for 15 years thanks to the cooperation with EMW.

“His great understanding and knowledge of fine wine market as well as his excellent sense of high-quality service and achievement bring great resources to develop the best network of partners in Asia and efficient and tailor made support to them.”

Jannik von Freiesleben, proprietor and managing director at First Growth Asia, said: “As a friend, and fan of great Champagnes for many years, we are excited to launch Champagne Edouard Duval across Asia. Over the last 26 years, our focus has always been on working with premium family wineries, from very specific terroirs, and we see a perfect fit with the very exclusive Champagnes produced by Edouard in this historic cru of Domaine Sainte Eulalie.

“With consumers growing knowledge about great Champagnes, we believe the timing is also perfect for introducing these top single terroir wines to Champagne lovers across Asia.”

From the sixth generation of leading Champagne family, Edouard Duval is now crafting Champagne from his Domaine Sainte Eulalie, a historical estate of 28 hectares located in Cote des Bar. Produced in limited quantities, Edouard’s Champagne are produced with low intervention, fermentation and ageing in Burgundian Demi – Muids and low dosage.
