Millésime Bio on track to take place in January

Organic wine trade show Millésime Bio is still set to take place between 25 and 27 January next year.

The organisers have confirmed that the event, which is the first trade show for organic wine, beer and spirits in the calendar year, is to be held as normal in the Montpellier Exhibition Centre at the end of January,

Organiser SudVinBio claimed the event is already fully booked and will therefore welcome around 1,300 exhibitors. The organising committee said in an emailed statement that the exhibitors will attend in “full respect of, and strict compliance with, the current and necessary health and safety requirements.”

Around 15% of exhibitors will be attending the event for the first time next year.

Since its launch in 1993, Millésime Bio has risen to become one of the world’s leading organic wine trade fairs. It was also one of few events that was largely unaffected by the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdowns, thanks to its scheduling right at the start of the year.

MillésimeBio gathers producers from 20 countries each year, and 2021 will see 20% of exhibitors coming from outside of France.

The French region of Occitanie will be widely represented and account for one in three exhibitors.

Langudeoc producer and Millesime Bio president, Jeanne Fabre, said: “In spite of the exceptional circumstances we have to work with, we are implementing all necessary measures to be able to safely welcome as many exhibitors and visitors as last year. All health and safety measures have been carefully reviewed for strict implementation and will be fully respected.”
