Concha y Toro secures new Tesco listings

South American wine group Concha y Toro has secured three new listings in UK supermarket Tesco for its Argentine brand Trivento and Cono Sur’s Bicicleta range.

Concha y Toro UK has announced that Trivento’s Pinot Grigio and Shiraz went on sale in Tesco stores this week (from 24 August), while Cono Sur’s Bicicleta Riesling will also be a new listing for the retailer.

Head of sales for Tesco Group at Concha y Toro UK, Tom Waugh, said:  “We’re really pleased to bring these brand-new wines into Tesco. Despite all the obvious challenges this year has presented, our brands are continuing to deliver positive growth which reflects Chile and Argentina’s strong position in the wine category.

“Trivento’s performance across the board has been amazing, and now we’re looking to offer Tesco shoppers a wider range of options, and crucially introduce a white to the range. Meanwhile Cono Sur continue to show how they can deliver interesting, aromatic wines at a really accessible price point.”

Back in April, Trivento launched a major television advertising campaign across ITV, Channel 4, All 4 and Sky. Earlier that month, the wine brand also unveiled a series new idents celebrating “real life discoveries” as part of its partnership with the Discovery Channel.

Meanwhile, Cono Sur launched an organic version of its Bicicleta range in the UK this year.
