MHD China partners with Baron Philippe de Rothschild

Moët Hennessy Diageo China has announced a long-term partnership with Baron Philippe de Rothschild as the exclusive importer and distributor for Mouton Cadet and Mapu in mainland China.

According to Moët Hennessy Diageo China, the addition of the brands Mouton Cadet and Mapu to its portfolio will “largely strengthen the company’s competitiveness to offer diversified and desirable brand experiences to Chinese wine consumers, catering to social and emotional needs.”

Véronique Hombroekx, managing director of Baron Philippe de Rothschild, said: “I am confident in the strategic partnership established by both parties this time, and I look forward to the upcoming long-term business cooperation. Both Baron Philippe de Rothschild and Moët Hennessy Diageo China insist on pursuing excellence, courage and dedication. I firmly believe that through this cooperation, we will foster the brand building of Mouton Cadet and Mapu in China.”

Jean-Marc Lacave, executive vice president global distribution at Moët Hennessy, added: “I am excited about the strategic partnership with the Baron Philip Rothschild Group. I believe that the addition of Mouton Cadet and Mapu will further optimise the company’s existing portfolio and lay a greater foundation in the Chinese market.”

Prior to the new partnership, Treasury Wine Estates was the exclusive distributor of Mouton Cadet in mainland China.
