In addition the shop, called Beer Pronto, will offer all visitors and members 10% off their first order in the first three months.

Sam Rhodes, Marketing Director at Asahi UK said: “With hard to come by home delivery slots and surge in popularity of online shopping – we wanted to ensure fans of our most popular brands weren’t kept waiting and could still enjoy their favourite premium lager and cider, at home, delivered with speed. By offering next working day delivery, we believe BeerPronto.co.uk will be a popular with shoppers, and we invite them to experience the service with our special 10% introductory discount offer.”

Large drinks manufacturers have started to ramp up their investments in e-commerce while coronavirus lockdown measures are in place.

Italian drinks group Campari plans to acquire a 49% stake in online wine and spirit retailer Tannico this year for €23.4 million, while in China, well-known wineries, including Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) and Concha y Toro, are setting up official e-shops on major shopping platforms such as Tmall and JD.com.
