Pinot Grigio delle Venezie releases new vintage with video tasting series

Pinot Grigio delle Venezie is releasing its new vintage with a video tasting series using sommelier and Italian wine communicator Filippo Bartolotta.

Using a series of 19 video clips the multi-lingual Italian somm (pictured) will bring to life the flavour profile of the 2019 vintage of Pinot Grigio delle Venezie.

In the face of the restrictions imposed by governments around the world that have caused the main trade fairs such as Prowein and Vinitaly to be suspended, the Pinot Grigio delle Venezie Consortium has decided to turn to Bartolatta and online videos to promote its latest vintage release.

According to the organisation, Bartolatta’s charisma will reach Europe and the shores of North America – which accounts for the largest exports of Pinot Grigio delle Venezie – bringing the wines as close as possible to consumers from around the world.

The series comprises 16 videos that will feature over 100 Pinot Grigio delle Venezie DOC labels from the latest vintage, following the introduction through another three videos about the land, the vine and the denomination, revealing the history and the culture of the place but also the characteristics of the grape variety and all the processes that make it traceable, safe and guaranteed.

Bartolotta will also consider the “Italian Style”, which is key to the image and Appel of Pinot Grigio delle Venezie.

He said, “After having tasted over one hundred Pinot Grigio delle Venezie, I can say that the rich aromas of ripe white fruit, lime and a touch of spice are still on the nose, which return in a crisp, reactive and very drinkable sip.”

The videos will be available on the official Youtube channel of the DOC (Consorzio delle Venezie) and on the Consortium website www.dellevenezie.it

For those wishing to use social media, the video clips will be shared on all the platforms belonging to the Denomination and, upon their launch, on the social platforms of Filippo Bartolotta, as well as of the entities that have contributed to making the videos, namely MaMa Florence and Le Baccanti.
