A week of Burns Night celebrations with Mac & Wild

If you can’t wait until the weekend, the cognoscentes of Caledonian cuisine at Mac & Wild have you covered. The restaurant group has been running Burns inspired menus, a dedicated Burns pop-up with Copper Dog, poetry and pipers all week, and there’s still time to join the fun.

Both Mac & Wild Devonshire Square and Mac & Wild Fitzrovia have so far celebrated the life and works of Robert Burns with a Chivas Blend whisky masterclass, and a Highland Park haggis Making workshop in a converted Land Rover, and now they’re preparing for a very boozy bottomless whisky brunch and of course, a traditional Burns Night celebratory dinner.

On Friday guests can delve into darkness at Mac & Wild’s Drams in the Dark immersive experience, a multi-sensory whisky tasting in complete darkness, accompanied with haggis pairings.

The next day, Mac & Wild is putting on a bottomless brunch where you can fuel up on whisky cocktails to your heart’s content. Irn Bru Sours (yes, really) and Bobbie Burns whisky cocktails will be accompanied by dishes like a Full Scottish complete with bacon, tattie scone, haggis, black pudding mushrooms, Lorne sausage, scrambled eggs and bone marrow beans.

And if you’re still not full, on Burns Night itself, Mac & wIld will host two dedicated five-course Burns Night Suppers at both Mac & Wild restaurants, complete with live music, poets, dancers and whisky galore.

On Friday and Saturday evening, the group will host a Burns pop-up at 1 Devonshire Square with Copper Dog Scotch Whisky, including live music, Scottish street food, haggis making masterclasses, a whisky wall and even bone marrow whisky Luges all on the agenda. You might want a salad on Sunday.
