Jameson Cold Brew whiskey drink heads stateside

Having had a few successful trial runs in Ireland and Australia, Irish whiskey brand Jameson is now launching its coffee-flavoured spirit drink in the US.

The limited edition 30% ABV serve uses Fairtrade certified Arabica beans from Colombia and Brazil, which have been roasted in the US, before being transported back to ID’s Midleton headquarters and mixed with Jameson whiskey.

It was unveiled to an American audience to coincide with National Irish Coffee Day on 25 January.

Brendan Buckley, international marketing director at Irish Distillers, said: “While coffee and Irish whiskey are no strangers in the glass, we wanted to modernise this iconic duo in a refreshing way which will appeal to curious whiskey drinkers looking for new flavours and experiences.

“Having tested this successfully in the Australian and Irish markets last year, we look forward to introducing Jameson Cold Brew to a US audience and are confident it will be well-received by bartenders and whiskey drinkers across the board.”

Bottled at 30% ABV, with no added sugar, Jameson Cold Brew will be available on premise and through retailers across the United States.
