US hotel offering ‘Prosecco and puppies’ package

We’ve had cat cafés and dog-friendly brunches and now one hotel in America has taken it a step further with the launch of a ‘Prosecco and puppies’ package.

A glass of paw-secco anyone?

As reported by The Metro, the Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Denver has launched the quirky service to coincide with National Dog Day in the US on 26 August.

Hotel guests can book their own Prosecco-fuelled private puppy party in their room, but you have to be a high roller to reap the benefits, as the package is only available to those who book a luxury suite at the hotel.

Suite dwellers will get the chance to have up to 10 pups from Lifeline Puppy Rescue brought to their door for an hour of cuddle time.

The offer also includes copious glasses of Prosecco and Italian cicchetti from the hotel’s Italian restaurant Panzano.

During their outing, the puppies are looked after by expert handlers and US$50 of all the proceeds from the package will be donated to Lifeline Puppy Rescue.

“At Hotel Monaco, we are always looking for advanced elements of comfort and feelings of home for our guests.

“With that approach, puppies have naturally been incorporated into our evening wine hour programme,” said general manager Chris Guse.

“The joy this activation has generated for everyone involved made it apparent that we needed to take the concept to another level but in a more intimate setting,” he added. The Prosecco and puppies package will run at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco from 23-26 August.
