Moët Hennessy USA to relocate New York headquarters

Luxury goods conglomerate LVMH has announced its decision to relocate its US headquarters, as part of an ongoing growth strategy.

According to a statement issued by the firm this week, Moët Hennessy USA has signed a 15-year lease on the 35th and 36th floors of the 7 World Trade Center building.

Currently based in the Chelsea district of New York, the firm will relocate its corporate headquarters to the Manhattan tower block in 2021.

The luxury giant’s US business employs more than 400 people across North America.

Jim Clerkin, President and CEO of Moët Hennessy USA said: “We are delighted to relocate our headquarters to the 7 World Trade Center, one of Manhattan’s premier office towers, and one of the most energy efficient buildings in America.

“The world-class office facility we will build will be an important investment in our people and brands, and will be critical to our continued growth. Lower Manhattan’s transformation into one of the city’s liveliest neighborhoods was a draw, alongside its infrastructure, lifestyle options and convenient amenities for our employees.”

LVMH, which owns Champagnes Veuve Clicquot and Dom Pérignon as well as Hennessy Cognac, recently joined the Provence rosé bandwagon with the purchase of Chateau du Galoupet in the south of France in May this year.

The luxury group, which is the largest of its kind in the world, bought a controlling share of cult Napa estate, Colgin Cellars, in 2017, already owning the Newton Vineyard wine estate, which is based in St. Helena.
