Magnum of Brangelina’s rosé sells for €2,600
A magnum of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s latest rosé release, Muse de Miraval, has sold at auction for €2,600, making it the most expensive rosé in the world.

Muse de Miraval launched at the Cannes Film Festival, and the magnum went under the hammer at a rosé auction during the event on 24 May.

Available exclusively in magnum, the rosé is made from the best and oldest parcels of Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle from Miraval’s 40 hectares of vines in Côtes de Provence, selected by winemaker Marc Perrin.
According to Provence Winezine, a new winery was built at the château specifically for the production of Muse de Miraval, which is fermented in concrete eggs, while a portion of the wine is aged in 600-litre oak barrels.
The most serious rosé in the Miraval range, Muse de Miraval is made to be aged and sits among the most prestigious rosés made in Provence, such as Garrus by Château d’Esclans.
Magnums of the rosé are currently listed on Millesima for £190 ex sales tax. Just 200 magnums of Muse de Miraval were produced last year.
“To imagine Muse de Miraval is to transcend the heart of Miraval. Muse de Miraval is an intense and rare elixir, the quintessence, the very soul of Miraval,” said Perrin.
“More than simply a more intense Miraval, it is a re-orchestration of the wine to bring out its most noble aspects by emphasising what lies at the heart of Miraval – the grape varieties of Provence and its limestone bedrock.
“The choice of a magnum was self-evident, as we consider it to be the most beautiful of bottles,” he added.
In January, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who continue to co-own the estate despite being separated, launched Studio by Miraval, a blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle and the lesser-known grape Tibouren.
Sitting behind the original Miraval in terms of price, Studio by Miraval went on sale at 469 Co-op stores across the UK last month, priced at £12 a bottle. Marc Perrin describes the wine as a “non-conformist and laid-back rosé”.
