Echo Falls launches summer berries pink gin

Drinks giant Accolade’s Wine label Echo Falls is delving further into the spirits sector this year, with the launch of a summer berries-flavoured expression.

Echo Falls is building up its presence on UK supermarkets’ spirits shelves.

The Echo Falls Summer Berries gin, which is launching just in-time to capitalise on summer drinks spending, has been created to respond to the “huge popularity of gin”, especially the fruit-flavoured subcategory.

The gin, which will be available in 700 Tesco and Bargain Booze stores with an RRP of £16, is the second in Echo Falls’ Summer Berries range, following the brand’s first foray into spirits when it launched a fruit-flavoured vodka in November 2017.

Bottled at 37.5% ABV, it is is the brand’s first full-strength gin launch. Accolade Wines already released a rosé wine and gin fusion under its Echo Falls brand in March this year, which came in at 9% ABV.

“We are always looking for a way to bring new news to the drinks market,” said Accolade’s marketing director, David White, adding that the typical Echo Falls consumer is “eager to try out novel and exciting products.”

“With the gin market growing at pace, it was a natural choice for us to develop a new product which combines the Echo Falls hugely popular signature flavour, summer berries, whilst simultaneously responding to the overwhelming popularity of gin in the UK.”
