Top drinks supplier changes and partnerships: February

Bibendum x Cubitt House

UK distributor Bibendum was appointed sole wine supplier for London-based dining group Cubitt House last month. It will now supply the group’s five sites, helping to create a wine list that mirror’s Cubitt’s farm to fork philosophy.

Producers due to feature at Cubitt House locations include Prophets Rock, Creation, La Dama and Jean Perrier. Bibendum’s fine wine team has also secured exclusive parcels of wine for the group, while the supplier will also provide training for staff and help to design the wine list itself.

Tony Gualtieri, managing director of Cubitt House commented: “We are really passionate about who we work with and wanted a supplier that can help instil the passion for the product with our team, as well as bring to life the products with our guests. With food, we invite our suppliers to talk direct to our teams and our guests to tell the amazing stories around what makes the product so great. I really felt that Bibendum would be able to do the same, carefully selecting key suppliers to work with from around the world, using their training resource to make our staff passionate, and to bring the product to life with our guests by inviting winemakers to come to our pubs and meet them”

James Stoddart, business channel director for premium groups at Bibendum added: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with Cubitt House on their wine list. They are a hugely respected group within the hospitality industry and working together to support the premiumisation of their wine list is an amazing opportunity for us and our producers.”
