Asia’s leading artisan food and drink shows return to Singapore

Southeast Asia’s leading trade shows for artisan and gourmet fine food and drink, Speciality & Fine Food Asia (SFFA) and Restaurant Pub & Bar (RPB) Asia, will return for the third edition in Singapore on 17-19 July this year.

The fair is expected to attract leading experts in the food and drinks industries to share the latest industry trends, insider knowledge and explore solutions to real-life challenges in an effort to drive drive sustained growth and longevity in the competitive Southeast Asian landscape.

One highlight of the fair is that this year the organiser has appointed industry ambassadors from a range of key sectors including hospitality, retail and food service to ensure the various visitor attractions and themes are relevant in order to better meet the needs of both suppliers and buyers at the show.

“Having these industry heavyweights come on board is a tremendous milestone for SFFA and RPB Asiathat underscores our position as one of the leading speciality food and drink tradeshows in Southeast Asia,”says Christopher McCuin, managing director of Montgomery Asia.

“All of them are well respected in the business and are best placed to provide unique perspectives and we are very much looking forward to working closely with them to develop more diverse show offerings and drive industry growth in the region.”

Exhibitors and visitors can also hear directly from these ambassadors at the event through panel discussions, by visiting the SFFA and RPB Asia websites and following the shows’ social media platforms, according to the show organiser.

Each ambassador will share their views on the industry from personal anecdotes and experiences to business advice and their thoughts on up-and-coming trends and opportunities to look out for. Networking opportunities will also be available during show days after selected panel discussions.

The line-up of Industry ambassadors includes Loh Lik Peng, Founder of the Unlisted Collection; Andrew Ing, Chief Operating Officer of The Lo & Behold Group and Management Committee member of the Restaurant Association of Singapore; Emmanuel Benardos, General Manager, Food & Beverage, at Fairmont Singapore & Swissôtel The Stamford; Alex Liau, President of the Hospitality Purchasing Association and Director of Purchasing at The Westin Singapore; Cheong Hai Poh, President of the International Food and Beverage Association and GM of Grand Copthorne Waterfront; Michael Habboush, Senior Director at KPMG; Tron Young, Founder of the Bar Awards; and Jeremy Nguee, Owner of Preparazzi and Batu Lesung. Detailed bios of each Industry Ambassador can be found in Appendix A below.
