Inaugural ‘Wine Paris’ show dates announced

Next year’s ‘Wine Paris’ show, a combination of Vinisud and VinoVision, will be held in the French capital from 11-13 February it has been announced.

Combining two shows that represent southern and northern French winemaking respectively, it is the first time that Vinisud has been held in Paris and offers a substantial boost to the fledgling VinoVision show.

As well as showcasing the great variety of French wine, regions, varieties, soils and viticulture, the aim is also to create a “major international wine event in Paris”.

The organisers said: “France is internationally renowned for its food and wine culture and its capital city is therefore an obvious and legitimate location for such a major wine event as Wine Paris.

“France is the leading wine exporter by value and the second largest consuming country by volume and per capita.

“Paris is home to a high concentration of wine merchants, wine bars, delicatessen, hotels and restaurants, all of which fuel a dynamic consumer market, underpinned by its status as one of the world’s leading tourist destinations.”
