Former head of Reserve Brands at Diageo, Nick Temperley, has joined Edrington-Beam Suntory UK as its new general manager for London.

As head of Reserve Brands at Diageo, Temperley was responsible for the performance and equity of Diageo’s premium spirits portfolio in Great Britain and Ireland. He also held roles as Diageo’s investor relations director, as a divisional finance director based in Amsterdam and in innovation and commercial finance manager roles, having started his career at Ford Motor Company.

This new role will see him join the UK Executive team and take responsibility for the running of Edrington-Beam Suntory’s London operations across specialist, luxury and on-trade accounts, as well as wholesale, cash-and-carry and convenience.

Temperley also holds an MBA from London Business School, where he still acts as a guest lecturer and is chairman of the Walpole Luxury Management Programme.

“Nick joins Edrington-Beam Suntory UK at an exciting time in our development. Our key city strategy has already driven substantial growth in London,” said Mark Riley, managing director of Edrington-Beam Suntory UK. “With his leadership and proven track record of building and launching brands into the premium category, we believe there is immense unrealised potential.”
