Here are the first award-winning wines on pour at The Wine & Spirits Show

Take a look at the Global Masters medal-winning wines on pour at this year’s Wine & Spirits Show, set to take place on 12 and 13 October at the Royal Horseguards Hotel in London.

the drinks business is pleased to announce the first wines on pour at the Global Masters Zone at the Wine & Spirits Show.

Located in the The Wine Hall, the Global Masters Zone will showcase the top medal-winning wines judged throughout the years in the drinks business Global Masters Series.

Among the wines due to be poured this year are a sparkling rosé from Kazakstan, a Mavrud from Bulgaria, an oak-aged Sauvignon Sémillon blend from France and a pink South African sparkler.

The Wine & Spirits Show will be open to both the trade and consumers and will take place over two days from 12 to 13 October in the heart of London at One Whitehall Place, part of five-star hotel the Royal Horseguards. Targeting wine and spirits enthusiasts based in London, around 2,000 members of the general public are expected to attend, alongside members of the wine and spirits trade.

The event will also feature a series of wine and spirit exhibitors, award-winning beers from The Global Beer Competition, and the latest product releases to hit the market.

A full schedule of masterclasses, which will be offered FREE on a first come first served basis, will be announced in due course.

The event will open from 1pm to 9pm on Friday, and from 1pm to 8pm on Saturday. To register for the trade event, which will run from 1pm to 5pm on Friday, please click here.

Arba Wine, Kazakhstan

Arba, an organic wine producer with 200 hectares of vineyards in the Assa Valley region, will be exhibiting its sparkling rosé.

Bulgaars Wijncenter, Bulgaria

Bulgaars Wijncenter will be exhibiting three wines from Bulgaria, all produced from grapes grown in the Tracian valley.

  • Syrah Single Vineyard 2016, medal: Silver, RRP: £10.
  • Vinica Mavrud 2013, medal: Silver, RRP: £15.
  • Tiara Mavrud 2015 BIO, medal: Bronze, RRP: £10.

Ventisei

Tuscan producer Ventisei will be exhibiting three award-winning organic wines at the show, including a 100% Sangiovese rosé and two red blends.

  • Ventisei Rosato 2017 (100% Sangiovese), medal: Silver, RRP: £13.99
  • Ventisei Rosso 2017 (45% Sangiovese, 33% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon), medal: Silver, RRP: £13.99
  • Ventisei Nobile di Montepulciano (Sangiovese 90% and Merlot 10%) DOCG 2015, medal: Silver, RRP: £18.99

Haute Cabriere, South Africa

South African producer Haute Cabriere will be exhibiting Pierre Jourdan Belle Rosé NV sparkler at this year’s show.

  • Pierre Jourdan Belle Rose NV, medal: Bronze, RRP: £15.99.

Domaine du Grand Mayne, France

Domaine du Grand Mayne, based in the Côtes de Duras Réserve, will be exhibited its oak-aged Sauvignon Sémillon 2015 (95% Sauvignon Blanc, 5% Sémillon) at this year’s show.

Tenuta Roletto

Italian producer Tenuta Roletto will be exhibiting its sparkling Rosé at this year’s show.

Canavese Rosato D.O.C., Rosé Brut VSQ Metodo Classico, medal: Silver (currently seeking an importer).

Vinicola de Tomelloso

La Mancha based winery Vinicola de Tomelloso will be exhibiting three award-winning wines at this year’s show, including a 100% Tempranillo rosé, a red Tempranillo, and a Viura. All its wines are both organic and vegan.

  • Finca Cerrada Tempranillo, medal: Bronze, RRP: £7.85
